Eligibility and Age Restrictions:
All patrons must:
Check in and show valid CAC/Navy ID. Lap swimmers must also show appointment confirmation, and Season Pass where applicable. Rec swimmers must also show Season Pass.
Pool Ages:
- Youth 17 and under must pass the Navy Swim Test in order to use the deep end/slide. • Youth 10-15 must be under line-of-sight supervision of an authorized adult.*
- Youth 9 years and younger must be within touch supervision of an authorized adult.*
Locker Room Ages:
- Youth 6 years and younger must be within touch supervision of an authorized adult.
- Children 4 years and younger may attend the opposite gender’s locker room with supervision.
General Rules:
- Lifeguards have authority over all activities and behaviors, with the ability to suspend privileges.
- No talking to the lifeguards on duty, climbing on the stands or using any lifesaving equipment.
- MWR is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- No smoking within the Oasis perimeter fence line.
- Adult swim is called the last 10 minutes of every hour to allow swim testing, a calm period for adults and rehydration/bathroom opportunities for all.
- No youth are allowed in the pool, on the edge, or hanging on ladders during this time.
- Pool and/or slide may close at any time due to weather or other factors.
Food & Drink Rules:
- Snacks are permitted in the “Pool View” area only.
- All other food must be consumed on the Barefoot Bar Lanai.
- No glass containers of any kind.
Hygiene and Attire:
- Clean, appropriate swimwear is required with no suggestive/offensive images/words displayed.
- Suits must cover the swimmer’s bottom. Cut-offs are prohibited.
- All patrons MUST shower head to toe before entering the water.
- Patrons with contagious diseases, sores, cuts, infections or bandages may not enter the pool.
- Disposable diapers are not allowed. Only swim diapers may be used.
- Safety eyeglasses are permitted if secured with straps.
Accessories:
- All flotation devices must be Coast Guard Certified Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs), and used in the shallow end only.
- Children’s PFDs are available for check-out while supplies last.
- Prohibited items include but are not limited to: mermaid tails, masks with nose pieces, kick-boards, fins, balls, toys and similar objects.
- Earbuds must be used for any personal music, and phone calls may not be on speaker.
Behavior:
- No running, dunking, rough play, or profanity. No boisterous or unruly conduct.
- Photography is limited to adults and one’s own minor children.
- The practice of hyperventilating and extended breath holding is not allowed.
- No diving in the shallow end. All deep-end diving must be forward dive or jump.
Wading Pool:
- Only children 5 years and younger are allowed in the wading pool.
- Authorized adult must be with child at all times.
- There is no lifeguard supervision.
Portable Aquatic Lift (PAL):
- Assistance in and out of the pool is available as needed, with Lifeguard assistance.
Slide:
- Only in use when guard is present. Guard will announce when clear.
- Only one person at the first platform and at the top of the slide at a time.
- Persons must slide seated or lying on back, feet first.
- Weight limit on slide is 250 pounds.
