Navy Region Southwest Fleet & Family Support Programs is a regional team dedicated to providing a full range of quality products and services that enhance our customers’ lives in support of mission readiness and retention. Fleet & Family Programs (FFR) is responsible for policy development, resourcing and oversight of quality of life programs for active-duty military, reservists, military retirees and their families.
FFR contains four program areas:
- Dining Services (Galleys and Food & Beverage)
- Fleet, Family and Child Programs
- Housing (Bachelor, Family, and Navy Gateway Inns & Suites)
- Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR)
At Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, we have many programs available to active duty, reservists, retired Navy personnel, DoD employees and their dependents and families. Our programs provide sports and physical fitness activities, child development and youth programs and a variety of food and beverage services. Keep up with your exercise program at MWR's well-equipped fitness centers, swimming pools and exercise classes. Get away from it all at the golf course, an 18-hole golf course featuring chipping and putting greens, a driving range, pro shop and grill. MWR Information, Tickets and Tours Office has discount tickets to major leisure and entertainment attractions located throughout California and Nevada.
Relax and refresh in one of MWR's dining facilities. The Paradise Community Center offers numerous hospitality services. Grab a bite to eat for breakfast or lunch at Mulligans Grill at the Golf Course! The Barefoot Bar, open to all hands, is another favorite spot located next to the Oasis Pool and near Bachelor Housing to enjoy a bit of leisure time after work.
Have some time to spare? Strike out for Hall Memorial Lanes Bowling Center, featuring ten synthetic lanes with high-tech scoring and pin-setting equipment. Grab a quick meal at the snack bar when you are knocking down the pins.
