BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Monitors Liberty Office, greets patrons, promotes good patron relationships and enhances the image of the respective facility. The incumbent reviews the schedule of events that are to take place during the assigned shift in order to ascertain what special preparations are required. Assists in the planning, preparation and implementation of a comprehensive Single Sailor Program. Assists in displaying promotional materials such as posters, bulletin boards, banners and flyers. Promotes upcoming events and activities. Ensures that the facility is open and/or closed at scheduled daily hours of operation following established security procedures. Ensures that programs and activities within the center are operated in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Complies with safety and security rules and regulations. Issues and inspects activity equipment daily. Informs supervisor of supplies or repairs needed. Completes paperwork such as check in/out sheets, utilization, daily attendance records, daily activity reports, etc. Conducts special events, tournaments, entertainment programs, and other activities as assigned. As required may escort patrons on trips and tours sponsored by the Liberty Program. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of computers, stereo equipment, video games, etc., preferred. Knowledge of inventory procedures. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and be able to communicate effectively with others. Must possess or be able to obtain a class B drivers license within 90 days of employment. Scheduled hours will include evenings, weekends and holidays. Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
